Your local museum needs a new logo!
Can you help by designing one for it?
The museum needs a logo that can be used on the website and documents and they would like local children to help design it for them.
The design can be the museums name or initials and can include one of the museum exhibits.
The artwork can be created using pencils, crayons, charcoal, or paints such as watercolours but not computer generated and no glitter or raised elements please.
Submissions should be no larger than A4 in size.
There are three age categories: 8 and under; 9 -11 and 12 -18 (as on 31st August 2026). Children must either live within Kelvedon or Feering or attend one of the village schools.
The winning entry will then be made into a full working logo by W3 Design Company based in Kelvedon who are kindly donating their time.
Closing date for submissions is 1st October 2026
There will be prizes for each category of £15 and the overall winner £25 in gift vouchers.
The entries must be handed into the museum and on the reverse, it should show the child’s name, age, along with the name and contact details of parent or guardian. If
the child lives outside the two villages, then which of the schools attended should also be shown. Up to 3 entries can be submitted but only one prize if chosen.
The competition will be judged by the museum stewards and W3 Designs. Relatives of stewards/staff can take part but that person cannot be part of the judging process.

The museum is open every Saturday from 9.30am-12.30pm and Monday 2.30pm-5pm from March – October (except Bank Holidays).
