Feering Parish Council runs a manned refuse collection service whereby a refuse collection lorry attends at various points around the village.
This service is for residents of Feering only and residents must remain with their items until the lorry arrives. Please do not leave items on the side of the road as this is classed as fly tipping.
We have been informed that there has been a change as to what will be accepted by the Manned Refuse Collections. All upholstered domestic waste seating, such as sofas, home office chairs and bean bags can no longer be landfilled, mixed with other wastes, reused or recycled and therefore will no longer be accepted by the manned refuse service. These items can still be disposed of at local household wast and recycling centres or via Braintree District Council’s Household Waste Collection service.
